Why I Created ROOT Method by Dr. Umer

After more than 25 years of treating thousands of patients, I realised something that changed how I practise.

The biggest challenge was never performing treatment. The biggest challenge was identifying the real source of pain before deciding which treatment was appropriate. Patients would come to me having tried multiple therapies — not because those therapies were wrong, but because the underlying cause had never been clearly established first.

That experience led me to develop the ROOT Method by Dr. Umer — a structured clinical reasoning system designed to understand pain before treating it. Not a new technique. A better process.

Most patients see significant improvement within 3–6 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may need 8–12 sessions. Dr. Umer gives you a clear estimate after the initial consultation — no vague commitments.
Treatment is generally comfortable. You may feel some mild soreness after the first session as your body responds, but this passes quickly. Dr. Umer explains every technique before applying it.
If you have recent MRI, X-ray, or scan reports, please bring them — they are very helpful. However, they are not required. Dr. Umer can assess and diagnose without imaging if needed.
Regular physiotherapy often uses one or two techniques repeatedly. The ROOT Method by Dr. Umer is Dr. Umer's structured 4-step system — Recognize, Observe, Origin, Transform — that combines multiple validated therapies in a coordinated protocol targeting the actual cause of pain.
Because the ROOT Method by Dr. Umer targets the underlying cause rather than masking symptoms, results are long-lasting. Dr. Umer also teaches home exercises to maintain improvements and prevent future episodes.
